About Me

Hello, Glad To Meet You!

My name is Larry E. Hall. I’m a successful internet marketer, writer, author, trainer, coach, mentor, website developer, mid-range techie, speaker and student of life.

You may be wondering, “Can this guy really teach me anything?” and “Who is he anyways?”

I’ve written this to help you to get to know who I am, my motivations and my purposes. I hope that it helps you to understand a bit more about me but more importantly, more about the subject of Internet Marketing.

First, a few pictures so you can meet me and my family.

I hope that helps with the introduction. I'm just a regular guy but, I make a full time living doing internet marketing, and I'd love to train you in it like I have so many others.

With respect to the internet, I am personally involved in two primary areas; Training others in this wide and varied subject and also VRE or Virtual Real Estate. What I mean by VRE is that I build, buy and sell internet businesses. Much like a real estate developer would with land, except that I do it on the world wide web, hence the acronym, VRE.

I take the training programs I offer very seriously. They are very carefully put together with hours and hours of investigation and organization behind them. I have a staff that helps me to keep the training running smoothly, to keep up with changes on the internet, to make sure that my students are happy and progressing and above all, to make sure the student can APPLY what he or she is trained in.

I started studying the subject in 1998. I was looking for an additional or different way to make a living. At the time, I was working for someone else and kept hearing about how you could actually make money on the internet.

So, I decided to investigate. I ended up determining that, in order to learn this subject, I would have to learn HTML. HTML is simply a coding language used to make websites and many other things on the internet; it’s sort of like having to learn German or French, or Bengali, but actually, not as complicated.

I decided that I had to learn this subject but what I later found out was that I didn’t know enough about the internet to make an educated decision about what I should be studying or getting into with respect to this varied affair called internet marketing.

You see, what I actually wanted to do was to generate income, not create websites. And learning HTML was leading me down the path to creating websites but, I didn’t know this at that time.

I bought a book on HTML and quite frankly, it blew me out of the water. I felt pretty stupid actually but, knew that I wasn’t. I looked this over a bit and determined that maybe I was on the wrong path. Maybe internet stuff wasn’t the way to go, so I dropped it.

A short time later, I decided I better have another look. I couldn’t help reading about all those people who were making all that money with the internet. I mean, if they could do it, I should be able to as well, right?

So, I started again, signing up for different lists, buying software programs, e-books, etc and adding to the space that filled my bookshelf and hard drive on my computer.

Does that sound familiar?

I ran across a program called Sitesell by Ken Evoy. I signed up and started reading everything by Ken that I could get hold of. I started using his program and the one thing I can say for sure about it is that I learned fundamentals and basics that I’ve used ever since. And as a side note, never underestimate the power of basics and fundamentals. They are what everything else is built upon.

Now, although the site I created didn’t produce the traffic and income I hoped for, it wasn’t a problem with the Sitesell program at all. It was that I was still too new to this internet marketing stuff and I chose a very saturated and basically, poor market to create my website in and if I had to do it over, I would certainly have chosen some other area to spend my time in. That market was the satellite TV arena. Need I say more? Saturated is a very appropriate word here and for a new person trying to make this stuff work and put it all together, it was difficult to say the least.

I continued to satisfy my hunger to learn the area of internet marketing by studying full time. I had done very well as a Public Insurance Adjuster and had time on my hands to devote to this subject.

Then, in seeing that I just needed some traffic, started searching around and in addition to learning about pay-per-click advertising and article marketing, I found Traffic Hurricane.

For those of you who don’t already know, Traffic Hurricane version 1 was originally created by Jeremy Burns. I contacted Jeremy regarding a technical issue a couple months after he launched it. We soon thereafter became friends and he told me of his troubles with managing and keeping up. And since I’m trained in that area and can do it well, I offered to buy it from him. Within a couple weeks, I bought the business from him outright and shortly thereafter I hired additional programmers to start upgrading the product. I took it from version 1 through to version 3, Traffic Hurricane’s latest release as of 2006.

Taking the program from version 1, through to version 3 and improving it considerably to keep up with changes in the search engines taught me quite a bit more about the subject of internet marketing, but now, from a technical point of view.

It was then that I learned about many technical issues and information with how the world wide web actually worked; How it all “hooked up”, about what was really happening with a domain name, how a website was actually seen by everyone, etc., etc. I could write the list of things I learned here but I’m afraid it may make your head spin!

The point is that, not only did I learn about the subject of internet marketing from a pure newbie perspective. I was also thrown into the world of the programmer, system administrator and techie where I was really able to see and learn what really goes on behind the scenes. The big picture!

So, I took this wealth of knowledge and started working with it, putting it together this way and that way and figured out how this internet marketing stuff really works to actually generate traffic and income.

And frankly, if I simply had someone like me to guide me and just show me what to do next, I would have cut out years of trial and error and disappointment not to mention the money spent which was not all wasted but I could only call some of it justified.

Hence, my training program.

I’ve since gone on to buy many more internet businesses, build, keep and sell them and offer training in how all this is done and how it’s done right, leaving no stone unturned and giving ALL the important information that one needs in order to put it all together and make it all work.

I've written many articles on the subject of internet marketing, several of which are highlighted here on our website. Titles like, "The Internet Marketing Trap", "Walking Blind" and the very popular "Why Train" are some of my favorite I've ever written.

I've been asked where I get the idea's for some of these topics and if I can teach people to write like this. I probably can but, I say, you can learn this just as well as me if not better. All it takes is to stay in touch with people, be interested in them and listen to what they have to say.

Earlier in life I learned the ways of study, learning and teaching. I learned not only that one needs to study, but how to study.

It’s a funny thing that “learning how to learn” would simply not be taught in school. I mean, think about it. You took math and music and history, and shop, but did you take that class that actually teaches you HOW to learn? No, you, like me, were given lots of information to parrot back in a test. Those kids who had the better memories did best on the tests and got the better grades.

I don’t want to sound sour about how we were educated or how our kids are being educated. After all, there are thousands of very hard working and under paid teachers simply trying to get through the day without some kid on psychiatric drugs shooting up the place.

No, I’m simply stating that the class that was supposed to teach us HOW to learn was simply not there. This is what I’ve now learned. And once you know HOW to learn, you can learn anything, but more importantly, you can teach others how to learn as well.

Presently, the size of my office and number of in-house staff is relatively small but we handle quite a bit anyways. This helps me to keep the training on a very up-close and personal level, which is how I want to keep it, for as long as I can.

Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on what side if the fence you're on, organizations like mine do continue to grow and expand but I intend to try and keep the up-close and personal aspect of doing business in as long as I can.

Will I continue to call past students long after a training program is finished? Ya, I believe I will. It's difficult not to become friends after doing a program of this nature.

I hope this brief introduction to who I am has been helpful to you and that you take advantage of the training you have available to you.
